Can I book a room for the whole day?

The library’s study rooms may only be reserved for two hours at a time so that no one can monopolize the limited resource. We do allow visitors to use and book the rooms but students and employees have precedence over the public. We do make exceptions for special occasion or events, especially if they are for college functions.

You may book a room for 2 hours per day per email. Rooms can be booked in advance. Reservations only available when staff is expected to be on hand for assistance. Otherwise, rooms are still available anytime building is open. Respondus rooms are for FVTC students only.
Library Helpdesk Staff Hours

Rooms are only reservable during Library staffed hours. Before and after those times, the rooms may be used but not booked in advance.

Iti is possible to use the rooms without having a booking but if someone else books the room, then that person takes priority.

The RESPONDES rooms (E109) are reserved for FVTC students only. Although they are by the library, they are “owned” by the CIE (Center for Instructional Excellence.) Those rooms have special equipment and software for taking monitored tests and CIE has stated that they are for FVTC students only. Students taking tests have priority.
