  An active MyFVTC account, including Email and OneDrive storage, is only available to actively employed faculty and staff, and students that are currently enrolled in an FVTC program.

The Proxy Prefix is

https://login.applibproxy.fvtc.edu/login?url=

It must come before the Vendor's URL (CultureGrams, EBSCO, Films on Demand, Ovid, etc.)

The Proxy login authenticates you as an affiliate of FVTC, and allows the Vendor's Database to recognize you as an affiliate of FVTC.

Why all the bother?

Vendors make money from controlling the right to access expensive resources.

 The FVTC Library pays for subscriptions to give current MyFVTC account users free access to expensive content.

This string must be added to a subscription URL to prompt a login screen and prove you have an active MyFVTC account.

If you have an active MyFVTC Account, and successfully log in, then EzProxy informs the vendor that you are authorized to access our Library subscriptions. 

When you use Cisco AnyConnect to connect to your desk on campus, it bypasses Ezproxy,
so the database vendor can't see that you are an authorized user.

Suggestion: Disconnect from Cisco AnyConnect when you need to use Library Databases.

Alternative:  Create a personal login to the database so you can log in regardless of your location.
