Q: Can I donate Books?

A: Library Services does encourage donations of useful materials, if they are new and relevant. Please contact the Library at 920-735-5653 to discuss the acceptability of the proposed donations before delivering them to the library.  Books that do not fit our needs will be sent to Better Book World to be sold as part of a cost recovery program.

Q: How do I donate money to the Library?

A: You may make donations to the FVTC Library through the FVTC Foundation. The FVTC Foundation is a registered 501c3 and your donation is fully tax deductible.

Donations of Books

We will accept donations of book under the following circumstances:

  • Books are in good condition
  • You realize that if the books do not fit into our collection Development needs, they will be sent to Better Book World, or if too outdated, they will be recycled. (Better Book World sells the books for us and gives us a cut of the profit.)

Returning Books

If a book or other item is damaged, we accept replacements that are in good condition.  We do not want broken, coffee-stained, water wrinkled, dog-chewed or otherwise moldy or stinky books.  If you damage the book, please replace it (save us the throuble of ordering a new one and billing you!)

If you come to campus, you can drop the item off at the front desk if a staff member is present.  Please don't just put it on the desk.

If no staff is present, please put your item in the Item Return box!  Unless it will not fit...then call security and leave it with them.

If you are online or unable to bring the item, you can mail it to us.
