Borrow a VR Kit

Come to the FVTC Appleton Library to borrow a VR headset and try out some Apps.

Check our catalog to see if a VR Kit is available.

WHAT: We have 2 VR Kits, but they need to recharge between uses.

HOW LONG:  The VR Kit can be checked out for 2 hours.  Can be renewed if there is no waitlist. Exceptions are subject to approval.

WHERE: In-Library> VR Nook Only

RESERVATIONS: If you wish to reserve VR kit to coincide with your room reservation, contact us at library@fvtc.edu to place a hold on a VR kit for a particular date and time. 

Requests for purchasing VR apps or software can be submitted to library@fvtc.edu

Check-out procedure:

• Check out one of our VR Kits with your FVTC ID or Driver’s License ID. You will need to leave your student ID card or driver’s license with the library staff while you have the VR it checked out.

• If you need to pause use (bathroom break, etc.)  bring the VR Kit back to the library staff.

Do not leave VR Kit unattended!

• Patrons are responsible for the condition and full return of borrowed equipment. Equipment that is not returned, stolen, or damaged will be subject to item replacement fees.
   

Read the “Using the Equipment Safely and Comfortably” information and sign to acknowledge that you understand the risks and have had a chance to ask questions.
