DATABASE (Resource Collection) HELP GUIDES

When searching in any resource-collection database, start broad and then narrow with limits or added keywords. 

• AND search selects only results that have all the keywords
• OR expands words used to collect results
• NOT excludes content with that word. (Some meanings for a word like “instrument” can change with context.)

Figure 1: Add Keywords, Limits, and Date Range, as needed.  Then scroll down and select [Search] button.

Figure 2: Using the Natural language search increases relevancy.

Figure 3: Use Search options tab to choose how you want to expand or limit search.

Figure 4: Under CINAHL Headings tab you can search for terms to add to your search.
