Just as "psychology" and sociology" are extremely broad and encompassing, so too are "attraction" and "self-identity."

It is easier to understand complex facets of personality and behavior as a spectrum from null to extreme.

Most people fit in the center of the curve, but that does not mean the outlying data is wrong or incorrect.

Unfortunately there is no easy list of facets that encompass what it means to be masculine or feminine.  Such a list would probably differ depending on who made it.

Facets of attraction can be about power dynamic, body shape, skills & talents, attitude, and so many other details!  

Are you, or are you looking for someone who is....

• decision maker - collaborator - follower
• dominant - mixed -  subordinate
• protector - independent  - protected
• taker - shared responsibility - giver

And that list has just a few facets that could make a difference in whether you feel attracted to someone immediately, or for the long term.
