Initial FQAS Training

Initial FQAS Training Plan Information

To qualify to teach at FVTC, you need to complete FQAS (Faculty Quality Assurance System) training.  This training is mandated by the Wisconsin Technical College System. 

Instructions for Accessing the FVTC Adjunct FQAS Training Courses

Learning & Talent Development and the Center for Instructional Excellence staff member will facilitate the FQAS training for Adjunct Faculty. In the online (asynchronous) training in Blackboard, you will complete various assessments as you learn about FVTC and the instructional expectations of the college. 

  • You can access your training after logging into Blackboard.
  • You will see the training classes in your "Course" dashboard.
    • If you are not seeing the training, check the filters above the course icons or list to ensure you are looking for Training and Classes I am taking.

Contact CIE@fvtc.edu if you are experiencing any access challenges. The training facilitator's contact information will be in the training course shell.

Ongoing FQAS Training - Virtual, In-Person, & Self-Paced Options

Ongoing FQAS Training

Once you have completed the initial FQAS requirements, your status in the FQAS system changes to Ongoing.  In this stage, you are required to participate in three hours of annual professional development through FVTC in Instructional Excellence/Student Success and the Organizational Focus of Assessment based on the fiscal year, July 1st - June 30th.

How do I know if I have met the hours requirement for the year?

You will be able to find out how many hours you have completed in Workday.  Linked below is the instructions for accessing this information.
