Q: Do you have an iPad I can use in the Library
The FVTC Library is pleased to offer iPads for your research and personal needs. IPads can be checked out for free for 'in library use only' for 2 hours at a time by students with an FVTC photo ID. IPads come with many apps pre-installed - apps for general productivity, research and skill building. IPads return to a default imaging set of apps after return.
We will keep your photo ID and return it to you when you return the iPad.
Username is your student ID number
Password is you MyFVTC password
Students that are currently enrolled start with a $25 allowance per semester enrolled, re-set at the beginning of each semester. Enrolled students can add money by credit card.
If you have no money in your printing account, or you are not currently enrolled, contact library staff for assistance. We use the PaperCut program to facilitate the process of charging for printing and photocopies.
You can use the photocopier to scan a document to your @fvtc.edu email address for free.
COLOR PRINTER in G120 (Help Desk Area by Door #1) has a color printer #1210.
Check defaults before printing.
Default is Black and White.
Use "Printer Properties" to change defaults.
For color scroll down and choose Auto Color
Anyone can come into our library and use our computers because it is a public library. However, we reserve the right to make students the priority users, and some computers must be given up if students need to use special programs only available on a few computers.
Computers should be used primarily for homework and job hunting. If you are using games or social media, you may be asked to go elsewhere so that students can do their homework.
