WiFi for IOS - Apple products like iPhone and iPad

All FVTC managed devices use FVTC-PSK Wi-Fi.  Therefore, the Library iPads are on FVTC-PSK and connect to the Apple TV devices on FVTC-PSK on campus (i.e., in our study rooms) through Wi-Fi.

  • Some Apple devices may not connect right away.  You may need to "Forget" all other networks before it will connect you to FVTC-Secure.
  • By using your sign-in information, you accept the College Acceptable Computer Use Policy, so please, don't log in others with your name.

Personal devices can connect to FVTC-Secure Wi-Fi, but you need to use Bluetooth when connecting your personal devices, such as iPhones, to library Apple TV devices in the library study rooms.

To do this using an iPhone:

  1. Turn on the TV and change the input on the TV screen to the Apple TV connection.
  2. On your iPhone, swipe up from the bottom of the screen.  Make sure Bluetooth is on.  You should see the Apple TV in the list of Apple TV devices displayed.
  3. Select it.
  4. Slide the slide bar to ‘Mirror on’.
  5. When the 4 digit code appears on the TV screen, enter it on your iPhone at the prompt to pair with the Apple TV.

And that is it. The TV screen will now display anything being displayed on your iPhone.
